¡«Ingenuous¡¬ ¡«Natural¡¬- exhibition of Xu Hong
Fei and Chung Kin San
Mr. Xu from Guangdong, and Mr. Chung from H.K. are
two veteran and youthful artists. The background of their up-bringing
are completely different, their artistic expressions are diverse,
yet there are ¡«genuineness¡¬ in both of their creations, an unique
inner appreciation of beauty and in capturing and radiating the
artistic feeling, one shows ¡«Ingenuous¡¬ and the other ¡«Natural¡¬.
There are a total of 19 pieces in Mr. Xu's ¡«fei-fei¡¬ series, comprising
of marble, wood and copper etc. When we see the ¡«fei-fei¡¬, we cannot
help ourselves from caressing each and every piece. The master pieces
of <Spring Scenery> (Copper), <Bright Moonlight in Front
of the Bed> (Marble), <Face the Wind> (Copper), <Itch>
(Marble), <Turn Left, Turn Right> (Copper) etc, each of every
poses when sitting, standing, running or jumping are so lively.
Mr. Xu has never looked back on choosing the creation of plump woman.
He was encouraged by the affirmation of the artist master Mr. Huang
Yongyu. Being a closed friend of Mr. Huang Yongyu, Mr. Xu has gained
a lot. A carefree style of arts is so full of life and Mr. Xu¡¦s
plump woman creation is trying to convey a simple and direct humor
to ease the tense and give a touch of happiness to this ever so
strained city.
Mr.
Chung Kin San-- a rather familiar name, currently is a police
sergeant. He can produce creations of ethnic culture with an intense
passion to reflect ironic expressions to the real world. Mr. Chung¡¦s
creations are of several series. <Song of Nature>, <Living
in Silence>, <Pine> etc are created in a natural surrounding
without a real scenic background. The series of carving, like
<Dragon> and <Chariot> are craftsmanship of imagination
so created by his visual instinct and also not base on real scenic
background. Creations of relic and local culture like <Think
about the Confucius>, <Temple in Wanchai>, <Tai Fu
Tai>, <The Days in Yesterday> etc, are drawing by the
painter with all his heart and feeling. This is an expression
of inner beauty, it is more a creation of feeling than of reasoning.
The picture will show you the way to contemplation and help you
to explore its world and the world within yourself. The success
of Mr. Chung¡¦s painting all depends on his strong will and perseverance

2004 has been satisfactoried over. The artist's works are highly
appreciated and brought an impact to the public. Mr Chung's student
at different age can emit very distinct level, especially the ensemble

by all. It is doubtless a creative and artistic masterpiece.
Through the artist's minute description and technique, it expresses
the cooperative spirit as a descendant of Dragon and remind us the
Chinese deep history, culture and ast as well. It impressed people
that a jumping dragon as a symbol of vitality and energetic. Mr
Chung's always emphasize the important of training of fundamental
technique. A good foundation skill is a media to express your thinking,
and elaborate it into a language to deliver message to others and
touch someone.
Besides, we must thank the chairman of
World Eye Organization, the committee of Hong Kong Arts Development
Council, Dr. Dominic Lam Man Kit. Due to his appreciation to the
artist's work, he presented the First Man Kit Art Cup to those late-comers.
He devoted to encourage and promote arts. Dr. Lam is not only a
doctor, an entrepreneur, he is also a respectable artist. In fact,
he is talent. It is due to the leadership of Dr. Lam and Mr. Kinsan
